Hi Claudia,

Impacts and rocks hitting the frame should be no different on our carbon
bikes than on an aluminum bike. If the
impact is severe enough, it may
damage the frame, but this level of impact would also damage the aluminum
frame of the same intended use.
Our carbon bikes are designed to be considerably stronger than their similar
aluminum counterparts and we add extra material on the bottom of the
downtube, the chainstay bottom and sides, and other frame parts that often
see more abuse. The Carbon Nomad in particular is extremely strong and
stiff. All the frame protectors (stainless chain plates, rubber DT
protector, etc) are attached with a strong epoxy. No worries!
