Hi my name is Tommy and i am from Denmark
I have planned my summer hollyday to go to garda with my GF and we where wondering where to go and who to hook up with for Freeriding and Downhill.

We are planning to be camping some where around riva but have not found a place yet...

Hi Tommy! Garda Lake is a wonderful spot to do freeriding and downhill.
Riva or Torbole are the best place to stay, and you'll find there a lot of campings or little hotels.
You'll love the lively atmosphere.

About the trails, 601, Sentiero degli Eroi, Bocca di Navene, The Skull...you will have fun.

Anyway i think that Garda trails are perfect specially for all mountain: for downhill there are better spots in Italy.

When are you coming in Italy? maybe some local could show you the trails...

you can try to ask at "mAroadi camping" (http://www.campingmaroadi.it/ita/default.htm)in Torbole (1-2KM from Riva). I don't know if you'll find a place but it's a good camping, cheap and bikers friendly.

About downhill and freeride BEPPOGATTO is the Master!!!!!
anyway "near" Riva you can find PEZZEDA BIKE PARK (130 km)...

they have helped alot and i can't wait until late august when i am going
it will be nice to try something else that the normal bike parks i germany
