Downhill in Sicilia

Greetings, good people. Sorry that i intruded, i'm not from Italia.

This summer i have chance to visit Sicily and it will be very very good if could ride there on my dh bike.
Is there bike parks with lifts(lifting jack)? And what sort of tracks(DH,FR,Trails)?

We will live in Trapani.

Hello Moby, no chair lifts, except in Erice - very close to Trapani, but I do not know the route - it seems to be freeride rather than downhill. Maybe one of the locals can show you? Search for Erice + funivia on here and you will find some interesting posts and possible contacts.

Etna is better for DH/FR I think, but it is a very long drive from Trapani! Also, the temperature on Etna will be more comfortable in the Summer. Maybe you can change your plans, and stay somewhere not too far from Etna, if not on Etna itself? It depends what sort of holiday you want, apart from being able to use your bike.

DOGS can help with uplifts for Salto del Cane DH, and also, there is Citelli (but you may need to DIY the uplift) and Scalazza which I have never done but is apparently the most hardcore DH in Sicily. All the aforegoing are found on Etna. In fact the video you have inserted, is of Scalazza.

As previous, you can also contact Tri-Ride, see if they can come up with some interesting plans for you.
