A voi chiedo se conoscete l'Orange Patriott 66 (telaio che mi è stato proposto per restare in casa Orange), cosa ne pensate e se è un buon mezzo per fare dell'AM/Free Ride leggero, in alternativa all'ammortizzatore a molle ne farei montare uno ad aria FOX.

ciao fradiavolo ti consiglio vivamente il66 del 2007, ho visto la prova una bomba,tanto per cominciare 160 di escursione pedalabilissimi con fox dhx 5.0 air 36 anteriore accessori leggeri per all mountain ha il peso di 14,5 e' a mio parere si puo' fare ancora meglio.
Ah quest'anno e' cambiata l'escursione post. e' allungato come misura a parita' di taglia ed inoltre esteticamente e' stato variato.
Pero' se ti bastano 140/150 di escursione segui il consiglio degli altri il five e' un missile ......mi sa che per credere che e' cosi pedalabile e' meglio darlo per 120 di escursione psicologicamente sara' meglio....esteticamente poi ha una linea.....mi sa che devo far posto nel garage.
Non vedo l'ora di provarli personalmente.

The Patriot is without doubt the most versatile bike in the Orange range. Its all round ability allows it to ably perform as an all day all-mountain trail bike, yet it excels as a full-on free-ride rig in severe Alpine terrain.
The Patriots frame has been completely revised with new state-of-the-art folded downtube and swingarm sections. This ingenious new frame shaping gives a bigger contact patch between the CNC machined head tube and the downtube for a stronger welded join avoiding the need for unnecessary gussets. The addition of a CNCed shock mount on the swing-arm disperses shock loads into the wider area of the swing-arms body, reducing the stress at the shocks connecting point.
Improved standover clearance is provided by the lowered top tube, giving extra confidence when things get hectic. Adding a gusset at seat-tube/top-tube joint for extra frame durability.
Optional
Rock Shox Maxle compatibility on the rear drop-out is the icing on the cake, bringing a tool-free quick-release 12mm bolt through rear axle to the Patriot.
Single-pivot simplicity means reliability. The tried and tested Orange pivot design is rock-solid and easy to maintain. With the adjustable geometry feature, the Patriot is a breeze to set-up for any riding style.
