Frattura composta in 2 punti del piede.

Things have been going well for me lately, well at least until a week ago. I was out filming for an Urban Downhill section in a DVD with Brendan Fairclough and myself. We road all morning and did some cool stuff at Sheffield Ski Village, it was a bit of a windy day so we headed into town to launch down some steps and pin some alleyways.
After our lunch break we chased a few pigeons then i went off and found some small steps, me and Brendan took a run up from the subway behind and as we reached the steps a gust of wind forced my front wheel over and sent me flying to the bottom of the steps Heal first!
All the weight of me and bike shot through my heal from around 8 steps high. I could not put any weight on the heal so i hopped off with the film crew to the hospital.
After x-Rays i was stoked to here the Heal was not broken but still had to leave on some crutches, it didnt feel much better on Tues then on Tues night i got the dreaded phone call, its a first for me with one of these calls Hello Mr Peat, its the Northern General A and E department here, after closer looks at your X-rays we would like you to come back to fracture clinic tomorrow please Oh Shit, whats wrong with me? what have the docs found? will i have a pot on? Sorry sir I dont know anything, see you tomorrow
My mind was going daft thinking what I could have done, once i got there and they let me see Dr Royston I felt a little more comfortable, he treated me about 7 years ago for a broken Wrist and Ankle and i liked his methods you can take the pain use your limbs and keep as active as poss thats my way of healing up i thought.
Well Doc whats the verdict? you have 2 small fractures on the outside of your heal, the foot is all in place and everything else looks good, we can pot you up or you can push on and it will heal(sorry about the pun) quicker. I like the sound of that Doc, Cheers and I hope I dont see you again.
Well one week on and I am still in pain, but it does seem to have settled a little. Fingers crossed I wont be out for too long as its prime training time at the moment.
