Christoph: St Wendel is a very fast course and we rode in a big group together for a long time. On the last lap in the woods I upped the tempo and Galinski pulled away with me. I kept pushing and forged a lead for myself for the last 15 minutes, so I was even able to enjoy the finish. Its the first time I have won at the 1st World Cup race and get to wear the leaders jersey, so I am really proud. St Wendel is such a classic race too that its a very cool feeling to have won it!Markus Rainer, Team Boss: We couldnt have wished for a better start to the World Cup. This is a fantastic result for Susi and the whole team. Its important to set a strong start in the World Cup and Susi certainly did that. Roel also put in a solid race to finish 7th.
