A Bomb-Proof Pack for Freeriders the CamelBak Havoc
CamelBak introduces the hard-core, do anything, Havoc for freeriders and downhill Mountain Bikers in 2005. Stealing technology created for their Military and Motorcross products, the Havoc is a durable pack that easily carries armor and extra layers up the mountain and delivers 100 ounces of hands-free hydration on the way down.
Sure, taking risks is part of it, but riding a 45-degree pitch at 30 MPH is no time to reach for a water bottle. The Havoc offers hands-free access to fluids you need to quench your thirst and keep you alert and energized for the duration of your ride.
Whether grunting all the way to the top or getting a lift up, the Havoc easily transports your gear and keeps you hydrated for hours of riding.
This pack offers tons of storage for protective gear on the climb up and cinches down to a compact pack for the descent. A large compression panel secures a fullface helmet and a main compartment stores extra layers and shin guards while a padded pocket keeps goggles and a CD player protected. When the guards are back on and the pack is compressed down, a strap management system prevents extra webbing from flapping around in the wind.
CamelBaks Independent Suspensionä and waist harness distributes the weight and stabilizes the load. A ventilating Air Director back panel with Air Mesh harness keeps you dry through your ride.
The Havoc houses a 3-litre / 100-ounce reservoir with CamelBaks new
HydroGuard Anti-Microbial Technology, which uses an embedded FDA -approved compound to naturally inhibit the growth of common microorganisms. Making for easy cleaning, the Havoc features CamelBaks wide-mouthed OMEGA Reservoir. CamelBaks Big Bite Valve and PureFlow tubing allow for easy access to taste-free water.
The patent pending OMEGA Reservoir and PureFlow delivery tube includes
CamelBaks new HydroGuard Technology, an embedded FDA -approved silverion compound that naturally inhibits the growth of common microorganisms. With this technology and regular cleaning using CamelBaks Brush Kit, the reservoir can be used for years even with an energy sports drink.
The HydroGuard technology lets CamelBak have the first hydration system to be registered with the USEPA (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency).
The Havoc will be available through Europe in Autumn 2004.
