New Colors -
First up, a lot of riders have written in asking for good pics of the new powdercoat colors, Black Chrome and Liquid Blue. Here they are. If you click on these pics you can link to some bigger hi-res shots as well. The Liquid Blue is basically a 'satin' dark navy blue and the Black Chrome is a 2-coat 'trans' color that can look black, slightly purple, and slightly green depending on light. Both colors are better represented in person (especially the Black Chrome) but hopefully these pics should give you a good idea of what they look like.
New Model Availability -
Blur-XC and Blur-LT Models are now rolling through production in good numbers, and the Nomad production is starting to catch up in the initial production run of Medium and Large sizes, with the Small and XL size runs in production now and expected to start shipping out right after the Winter holiday break.
Bullit Update -
Many, and I mean MANY, of the Bullit faithfuls have inquired about the absence of the Bullit in the 2006 catalog and website. Relax, it's all going to be ok. After 7 great years of dedicated service, the Bullit has entered the SCB equivalent of the witness protection program. It's currently hidden away at an undisclosed location, getting torn apart, re-designed, and ready for re-release in '2007'. It will return in all its single pivot glory, better, faster and stronger. Next time you see it the face may look a little different, but the heart and soul will remain all Bullit.
Nathan Rennie's Attempt At The MTB Jump Record -
You've probably already heard about it, maybe even seen some pics or some pirate video on the web, but now is your chance to see the official footage. Catch the action of Rennie's big jump on NBC's - Jeep World of Adventure Sports - this Saturday 3:00 pm EST (That's 12:00 Noon PST to you West Coasters). The current power assisted distance record is 116 ft and Nathan was aiming to go about 126ft or so on his Santa Cruz V10. The Guinness Book Record guys were on hand, and the result was pretty spectacular. Check it out! For more info on the program, look here - http://www.worldofadventuresports.com/events.html
