2007 marks the 5th annual Mayhem Festival, and another action-packed 7 Day Freeride Festival. Located at Åre Bike Park Sweden, the park offers: 4 chairlift stations, 900M vertical drop, and over 40km of trail networks

*Sunday 5th Nordic Downhill Championships
Tuesday 7th: Åre 4X Challenge
Thursday 9th: Eric Wållberg Street Jam
Saturday 11th: Nissan Slopestyle Tour
New Trail Developments: A new freeride trail from Åre Skutan (top station). The trail itself is about 3km in length, and 400m vertical drop. The grade is intermediate (blue) with a freeride flow to it. The trail finishes at Hummlen station, but connects with several other trails to bring you down the remaining 500m vertical to the base lift stations. Addition to the slopestyle line.
Nissan Slopestyle Tour: For the first time, a Nordic Slopestyle competition will take place. Round 1 will be held on the 26th & 27th of June at Ekstremsportvecko, Voss Norway (http://www.ekstremsportveko.com/), with a specially built slopestyle arena for the occasion. 1000 first prize
Round 2 will be held at Mayhem on Saturday 11th August with some new features to its existing course. Each event will see individual winners. However points from both Voss and Mayhem competitions will be combined, and an overall Nordic slopestyle champion will be declared.
Extended Play: An extra 2 hours of chair lift access can be enjoyed at Åre Bike Park on Monday 6th, Wednesday 8th and Friday 10th
Retail & Exhibitor Area: The very best in the mountain bike industry are present at Mayhem exhibitor area 2007. Joining us are Sram, RockShox, Avid, Truvativ, GT, Nissan, Fox, Norco, Troy Lee Designs, Cyclecomponents and more. Mayhem energy is served to you by Red Bull, Snickers and Åre Konsum.
Industry Hour: At selected times during the week, you will get the chance see some of the latest equipment and demonstrations from SRAM, GT and Nissan.
Test Drive Nissan X-Trail: Nissan have taken the compact 4WD to the extreme. Mayhem participants will be able to sign up for selected test drives of the X-Trail to check out the car that is perfectly equipped for all of lifes adventures (2.5 litre DOHC engine, intelligent All Mode 4X4 at fingertip control). More details yet to come on the X-Trail activities and competitions. Stay tuned.
Fox Racing: Official Mayhem Clothing Partner: Fox Europe has produced a special, limited edition range of t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts specifically for the 2007 Mayhem Festival. The clothing will have Fox graphic on the front, and a specially designed 5th mayhem graphic on the back. Limited edition and available during event only.
Special Guest: Aleksandar Grubac from Naturlex Airbrush Studio: If you take pride in your equipment and how it looks, here is your chance to have custom graphics on your bike, dirt or full-face helmet. An incredibly talented airbrush artist, Aleksandar is making special trip to Mayhem 2007. More details about his work on the web site, and links to his home page.
Rebel Media & Silent Storm: Time to hone in those skills. You could be on TV this autumn. Two films crews will be capturing the action all week. From Germany, Rebel Media will be shooting for the TV show, Wicked Wheels, while the crew from Finland, Silent Storm, will be shooting segments towards a mountain bike DVD.
Movie Nights at Tott Hotel: A selection of the latest freeride movies will be shown at Tott Hotel, 3 nights during the week, from 20:00 Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
After Dark The Mayhem Parties:
Mayhem festival would not be complete without the parties. There will be 4 major party nights hosted by Nissan; Red Bull / Sram, GT, and Slitz / Fox, in coodination with Tott Hotel, Tottebo and Country Club. DJ Ras-i-door and DJ Zaki Kahn will be our sound pilots. The crew from Slitz magazine will be joining mayhem as part of the summer tour and bringing a posse of Swedish and Norwegian Slitz girls to get things rocking. Beach Volleyball; a Pool Party and a club night. The party nights at mayhem just got wilder.
Beach Volleyball: Slitz girls from Sweden Vs Slitz girls from Norway in game of volleyball on Åre beach. Tunes will be spinning from the Red Bull unit, as bikinis and sand fly through the air! The party continues at Country Club until late.
