Visitors to the recent Konafest in the Lakes will have seen this prototype machine. Kona design guru and beer drinker, Dewey has been playing around with the spares bin again. Last time he did, it resulted in the Kona A, so this one's certainly worth a look.
Dr Dew has taken a standard Kona XC rocker design and scaled it down to give it 50mm or two inches of travel. It's more than a softtail can offer and he reckons it's just the sort of damage-limitation travel that'd appeal to hardcore XC racers who are looking at the likes of Specialized's Epic and the K2/Turner race design.
